Over easy eggs turned into a pool of uncooked egg whites floating in egg yoke and the hash was out of a can service was good food was not.

This is the locals breakfast (and lunch) place. Great food, home cooked from scratch and more than you can eat. Pies and muffins to go, too. Note: a double-yolker is *2* eggs....

DAY MADE!! We love about an hour away and eat breakfast here when we are in town (2 times a month) , we love it! Today..we swung in for breakfast and we received a free roll of TP with our bill. The waitress kinda chuckled and I said how thankful and awesome that was because we were one of those families that couldnt get it at home! So..we get in the car to leave and at the light ..here comes 2 waitress running and waving at us to stop..WITH A 6 PACK OF CHARMIN!! 😅😅😅😅 HOW AWESOME IS THAT! THANK YOU LADIES I SO WISH I HAD MY CAMERA OUT YOU WERE HILLARIOUS! THANK YOU !! best. eggs. ever. 😍😍😍

Took my son for his birthday to try to do the omelette challenge. The omelette won, but he was stuffed (thats a win in my book!) and got a cute little rubber duck. We really enjoyed the staff, very friendly. Kept checking on us and never had an empty cup of coffee. Large portions and reasonable pricing. Well worth the drive.

Nice quiet mom and pop diner, good coffee and newspapers at the counter.This is the type of place where you should keep it simple. Hot, fresh, and all you can drink coffee paired with fresh eggs and French toast is all you need here. The only disappointment were the home fries, seems like they had been sitting on the flat top for awhile.Service was great, the waitress was kind and friendly.I got the Sunday eggs benny, it was good. Eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was fresh. Good piece of ham and toasty English muffin.Small business, hot café, tasty grub, and nice people, 4 outta 5. Will come back!

While the exterior is dusty and overgrown, it is a very popular place and you can expect a line. Due to the large dining area and the numbers of customers, the service was slow. BUT, the food was very good and the coffee was strong. I will go again!

Known for breakfasts rather than lunch they need to stick to that.My food, hamburger and FF, was just barely warm. The FF were the frozen variety and based on their orange color were seaoned. The waitress assured me before ordering they weren't. I was charged for the sauteed onions on my burger and they were approximately 1/2 teaspoon. The burger which I ordered medium rare was well done.A very disappointing meal to say the least.

Great country cooking . Omelette choices are limitless . Other great items like skillets , etc on the menu . Staff is attentive and polite . We visit from Virginia when on vacation in Norway,ME every summer .There's even an omelette challenge and you get your picture posted if you can finish it , good luck , if not its additional goodies to take home.

We stopped here on our way to Turner. A much larger restaurant than we thought. Apparently, all eggs served here are double yolked, which was a great conversation starter. The food was delicious and one of the best omelettes I have had in a long time. Not terrible expensive either.

Great breakfast place with omelets the size of a poodle. All egg dishes are "double yokers" (2 eggs), so if you order the 2 egg breakfast, you actually get 4 eggs. Good baked goods, decent coffee and tea. Prices are great, quality is good. Cross between a local family place and a truck stop. Staff very friendly in classic diner style.

My wife and I have been there before with reasonable service. Today was another story. Myself and 2 friends were seated and brought beverages and we're told Samantha would be with us shortly. Aside from watching her and another waitress chatting and looking at their cell phones at the bar, we never saw her. We gave up after 15 minutes and left. It wasn't real busy. While leaving, my friend expressed her displeasure and the girl was rude, non apologetic.

It's not a bad place but I asked for the meat to be served extra hot (by default very few places serve meat with any warmth) and it was acknowledged. The meat was almost cool. The eggs had very little warmth as well. I have no doubt they could have fixed it if I complained but I like to eat my meal with my wonderful wife.... not watch her eat and then her watch me....The beans were hot and tastey, just like the home fries, toast and coffee..

My family and I stopped at Egg-ceptional while on vacation in Maine. It looks run-down from the outside, but the inside is much nicer. The service was excellent and the food was hot and plentiful. I ordered a mushroom and cheddar omelet. It was just delicious and I ate every bite. My husband tried a spinach omelet, and that too was quickly devoured. If you're in Mechanicville, Maine, and you're hungry for breakfast, stop in and enjoy your food!

Home fries are not good! Omelet was just ok. Filling was good but egg was bland. Service was great. I would go back if the changed the way they cook home fries.
